![]() You would think each theme provided would adjust the margins automatically for its theme graphic. The problem is when I compose a new email, the left margins are not offset by this, and stay at 0, which puts my text in the graphic. This theme places a spiral notebook graphic down the left side of the email body overlapping the body by about 1/2" wide. I have "Use theme's font" selected for the theme font. I'm using the theme Notebook under Mail > Stationery and Fonts in Outlook 2016. If you change the values, click the Set as Default button at the bottom of the dialog, then choose All documents based on NormalEmail.dotm template and click OK to commit the changes. Adjust the width of the compose message form instead. ![]() Do not use indentation or margins to make line wrap on wide screen monitors while you are composing them this will affect the margins and format on the message the recipient receives. If you want to use indentation, keep it very small. ![]() The Left and Right Indentations should be set to zero. (If the ruler is visible, you can point to the indentation triangles and double click to open the dialog instead.) On the Format tab, click the Expander icon to open the Paragraph dialog. Both the Left and Right Indentation should be set to 0 (zero). To check or adjust the margins in Outlook 2010 and up, you need to look at the Paragraph settings and Page Setup. It's better to adjust the width of the compose window if you need to make the lines shorter and easier to read while composing messages. Trying to force line lengths using margins or the Enter key to break lines only results in readability problems for the recipient. Outlook doesn't have an option to set the width of a message - it uses the full width of the message window and wraps text in the window as needed. If the recipient opens the message in a window 500 pts wide, the message would be indented 200 pts from the right edge. As set in this screenshot, the right margin is approximately 200 pts. Recommended setting: keep the right margin triangle at or very near the right edge of the page (identified by red arrow).

I was hoping to buy an iTV, but the chance that it will do exactly what I want is pretty small. I'm buying a Mac mini for this purpose (along with being a media center). ![]() It's not the point of this thread, but I am just mentioning it because it's the ONLY drawback I can come up with with a NAS. The only thing I haven't quite figured out yet is that I want to create a subset of my iTunes library to keep on my laptop (for travel). It's really awesome having a NAS because I can access it from any of my computers at home, and I have peace of mind with it (thanks to RAID). iPhoto (and Aperture, for what it's worth) works just fine on my NAS! And same goes for iTunes. I can't directly answer your question about Time Machine, but I would imagine that Time Machine would be just fine with a NAS. Otherwise, it's plugged in via Gigabit Ethernet. It even works with a wireless bridge, which I use sometimes to connect it to my network. It holds 4 Seagate SATA drives (500GB each), has a great control panel, has streaming support (for iTunes and other media) and a whole list of other features. The form factor alone is really awesome (it's small and the finish/style even looks kind of like a Mac Pro). I recently bought an Infrant ReadyNAS NV+ with 1.5TB of space and I LOVE it. or would I be better of with another solution, like one monster 4 bay firewire DAS, and just learn to live with the wiring ( )? So, does anybody know if Time Machine (and possibly also iPhoto and even iTunes) works on volumes mounted from a NAS? Possibly even the above mentioned NAS? Having a laptop, which is restricted to one internal disk, I'm looking for an (easy and practical) solution for accessing an(y) external disk(s) from my MacBook. Now, I can probably live with my iTunes and iPhoto libraries on my internal disk, especially if I get some easy way to store other stuff, but thinking ahead I would love whatever solution I end up with to support Time Machine. I don't have a Mac to use as a server (the above mentioned 7500 is just too old, IMO) but could probably get an old B&W or something, but I don't have an obvious place to have it and would have to invest a bit in wiring (or another wireless base), so I'm leaning on the NAS as my best option.īut, and there's always a but, isn't there, even though the NAS I've got my eye on, the Synology Disk Station DS-101j, which has room for one internal disk and a couple of external USB2 drives (right?), is said to fully support Mac OS X, I suspect this means for setup and as a file server, and that the Photo and Backup solutions are based on some proprietary systems and not what I want. Having one solution for both my girlfriend's any my own machines would also be great. I have a couple of external HDs, but they are filled and I'm getting tired of the wires, and have started looking for other options, and it probably boils down to either setting up an old Mac as a file server or get a NAS. I've also started ripping DVDs, and even though I'm quite happy with relatively moderate bitrates, the GBs just fly away, etc, etc. Also my iPhoto library has out-grown the magical "1 DVD" size, and when I get my new DSLR I guess the need for space will just increase. My iTunes library are steadily growing (even if I just use for CD-rips and re-encoded for files I get elsewhere (e.g. I'm not doing anything extremely resource demanding, so my only issue (which I share with a lot of laptop owners, I guess) is: I need more storage space. ![]() I have a MacBook (coming from an iBook and befare that a Pismo), love the portability and don't know if I've ever going to get another desktop (my last one was a PowerMac 7500!).
